You could clean your registry manually, but this is something which requires in-depth knowledge about the internals of Windows operating systems to get right - and there are a lot of things which can go wrong when you make changes to the registry without knowing exactly what you're doing. It's best to play it safe and do what the professionals do: use high quality registry cleaner software to handle the job so that you can spend your time doing something more productive and more enjoyable.
