Well, I have a lot of experience working with slow computers. My very first computer was very slow. It had viruses on it. I used to clean it out at least once a week. I defragmented the hard drive every night. I downloaded a lot of anti-virus programs to use.

Nothing seemed to work.

I ended up getting a new computer and using the old one for parts. My second computer was ok. After having it for about a year it started running very slow. I used one of the "top rated registry cleaner" to clean it up. I also ended up buying a new stick of ram to put into it.

They helped quite a bit.

I had that computer for about 2 years after that. Now the computer that I am using has not given me many problems.

As I look back to my first computer I can recall wanting to toss it out the window so many times. All the times that I was trying to do something and having the computer freeze up was very annoying. Once I had been working on an anniversary present for my parents. I was making them a DVD of pictures from when they were younger.

I had been working on it for about 2-3 hours a day for about 3 months. After I had everything put together I was going to watch it before I put it on to the DVD. As I started it the computer froze up and I lost it all. That was the worst experience I have ever had with a bad computer. That was my first computer that I had.

Every time a computer that I am using starts running slow I just save everything I am doing and restart it. That usually works to get it back to speed. It is very difficult to get a computer that won't have any problems now days. Most of the will be considered old within a few months. But if you get the right one you can usually upgrade it fairly easy.
